How to Get Help

VNA serves communities throughout western Pennsylvania, including  Butler, Armstrong, Mercer and Northwest Westmoreland counties, as well as portions of surrounding counties.

Your call will be answered by a knowledgeable and courteous VNA staff member who will ensure that your needs are addressed quickly and to your satisfaction.

 

If you or a loved one needs in-home care, hospice services or medical equipment, the first step is to discuss this option with your physician, social worker or hospital discharge coordinator and obtain a referral.

It is important to be aware that you have the right to select the home care provider of your choice, and that if you do not specify a particular agency, the doctor or social worker will select one for you. In the case of a hospitalization, once your physician has decided home care is an appropriate option for you, someone from the hospital will discuss home care and ask which agency you choose.

In keeping with our commitment to making the health care process easier for patients and their caregivers, VNA offers complimentary, no-obligation consultations to help you understand all available options and create a tailored plan of care that best fits your needs and situation. We will even work directly with Medicare, your insurance company and area agencies on aging to determine eligibility, coverage and subsidy options. In most cases, VNA can initiate services within 24 hours of receiving a referral, unless otherwise specified.
