VNA’s Commitment to the Community

VNA is proud to announce their new Inpatient Hospice Facility.

The facility is currently under construction on Technology Drive, just off of Benbrook Road, near the Butler Surgical Center. As the area’s first community-based hospice service provider and the first in the nation to receive both Medicare certification and Joint Commission accreditation, no one is better qualified to address this need than VNA.

Over the past three decades, we have served more than 10,000 patients, working closely with physicians, hospitals and other community organizations to deliver hospice care in homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes and hospitals. We have built a staff of professionals certified and experienced in end-of-life care, palliative care, thanatology and bereavement counseling.

Our goal is to create a unique homelike inpatient hospice center to serve the needs of community members struggling with end-of-life and grief issues. The VNA Inpatient Hospice Facility will initially offer 12 private patient suites with the intent to expand to 24 suites.

Designed to maximize the comfort of patients and their families, the facility will feature tastefully appointed suites, a common living room, a small room for private family meetings and a shared kitchen where families can store and prepare special foods. There will also be a nondenominational chapel as well as landscaped gardens and walkways offering serene places for quiet meditation. Special accommodations for pediatric hospice patients will also be provided.

The VNA Inpatient Hospice facility is designed to allow patients, in their final days, to be surrounded by loved ones, as there will be unlimited visiting hours for family, friends, children and even pets. Patients will also benefit from continued interaction with the VNA Hospice team that had cared for them at home.

VNA is happy and proud to continue its commitment to providing hospice services to our local community. We hope you will take time to visit our special website, www.vnalegacyforlife.com, to learn more about our inpatient hospice and how you may become part of VNA’s ongoing efforts to enhance the end-of-life care options for residents of Butler and surrounding areas.
