The VNA, Western Pennsylvania began its long history of serving the community in 1965. The organization was founded by a group of interested citizens, concerned about the welfare of those who needed nursing care outside of the hospital setting. They set out on a mission to establish an organization which would work to keep pateints healthy and in their homes for as long as possible
