Spring Grief and Remembrance Program

Living After a Loss:  Surviving the First Year.  Speaker Jenna Rhodaberger, Bereavement Coordinator and Medical Social Worker from VNA Hospice and Palliative Care will talk about learning to deal with grief and stress that occurs during the first year of a loss.  This event will be on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 7 PM at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home, 102 Argyle St in Petrolia.  There is no charge and everyone is welcome to attend.  Please call 724-756-2710 to make a reservation.

Holiday Grief: Surviving the Season

Hosted by local funeral homes in three locations, this is a 45 minute presentation given by a VNA Bereavement Specialist. The evening program is open to all in the community and includes a remembrance ceremony followed with refreshments. Presentations are scheduled in Butler, Kittanning, and Apollo in November and December. Call 724-431-3520 after November 1st for information on locations, dates, and times.

Grief in the Workplace and Learning Space: Staff training for your organization

This two-hour interactive workshop, for employers, employees, and staffs of schools and institutes of higher learning, is designed to help participants discover the impact of the “hidden costs” of grief and explore ways to companion co-workers and fellow students after loss.
